Hello Lovelies!
We’ve all seen our fair share of wedding and engagement photos. Obviously the majority of these photos are smiling and happy pictures with a lot of light and energy. That’s why this shoot: dark, full of lush texture, and not a smile in the mix is such a fun change of pace.
Delicate Details
This unique shoot took place at The Ogden Click and includes detail shots of the cake, decanters and dress.
The gown is a classic piece from the Tara Keely line. Designed by Lazaro Perez, this gown has an amazing balance between the Venise lace bodice and the thick crepe skirt with a subtle fit-to-flare silhouette. A high back and low-v neckline continue the balancing act and keep the gown from falling into either the stuffy or revealing category.
Moody and Romantic
The low light and lush texture give this shoot a distinct mood. A feeling of calm romanticism and an almost noir-like mood hang over every photo.
Cranberry and deep, dusty blue compliment the ivory gown and pull out the mellow tones in order to greater highlight the romantic feel of the shoot.
The addition of a heavily textured bouquet gives the slightest prickly feeling to detail shots.
Dramatic poses and a model who has mastered her ability to look pensive and moody are the final pieces in this elegant shoot.
The bright window in the center of the room provides a flood of natural light in the otherwise dark room and shows off the texture of the couch, gown and bouquet.
Shots framed in unconventional ways highlight the offbeat feel of this shoot.
This perfectly executed, unconventional shoot is one that I find myself staring at over and over again because I love anything that is outside the norm.
Until next time ladies!
Becca
