Andrea’s perfect custom wedding dress features a handkerchief hem and a long sleeved lace bodice. The handkerchief hem is part of the original design of the dress, but our talented Bitsy Bridal alterations team created the bodice from scratch. (Click here for a blog post all about alterations!) Creating a custom bodice is a hefty task, but our team of talented seamstresses specialize in pattern-making, which is crucial to getting the perfect fit in your custom wedding gown.

First, in a custom alterations appointment, our talented seamstress will ask you what you want to change. Then, the seamstress will sketch her vision of what you explain to her. After you agree that she has captured your vision perfectly, then she will begin work on your gown. You will have at least three alterations appointments to make sure that your custom lace bodice ballgown, for example, is perfect.
