Madi Lane, boho GOALS

Madi Lane is designed in Australia by Liz Young. This line encompasses every bohemian bride’s fantasy. The wedding dresses feature lace, flowing sleeves, long trains, and sometimes even capes. This boho lace wedding dress with sleeves has a cold-shoulder style detail, and a fit and flare silhouette. A fit and flare wedding dress from Madi Lane will hug your curves beautifully but allow you to hike through Moab, just like Beth.

The sleeves are also detachable. Photo courtesy of Madi Lane.

These wedding dress sleeves also easily detach for an easy two-in-one look. Just pop them off, and snap them back on when you want them for pictures! This fit and flare wedding dress looks great on all shapes and sizes. As always, Madi Lane offers each gown in sizes 2-28, so Madi Lane is a great option if you are in need of a plus size wedding dress.

Our Bride Hannah

Meet our Bitsy Bride, Hannah.

This beautiful bride wore “Gigi” from Enchanting by Mon Cheri. This collection has a variety of styles that are able to meet the needs of brides from classic to boho, in a great price point. Gigi is a beautiful example of a style with a little bit more edge. This beautiful nude bohemian wedding gown is perfect for an outdoor location.

Gigi looks stunning as a fit to flare gown that features a plunging v-neckline. The halter-like straps allows for some bust support and coverage. The straps button in the back and transform into a gorgeous keyhole back. Gigi’s bodice is kept unlined for those brides who are looking to show more skin. If you are not one of those brides, this can be fixed within alterations for those who want more modesty. The focal point of this gown is the floral appliqués and 3D flowers. This beautiful detail is concentrated around the bodice, and then trickles down the skirt. Finally, Gigi ends with a sweep train, perfect for an outdoor venue.

Here is how Gigi begins.

Hannah opted to keep the majority of Gigi the same as the original during alterations. However, she did work with our in-house alterations team to add a few personalized details. She decided to close the neckline up a little bit to give more support and coverage. Then, our seamstress did a few adjustments to have this gown fit Hannah perfectly. Visit our alterations page for more!

5 Best Things About Tara Keely Fall 2017

Hello Gorgeous!

In May, we were lucky enough to host a trunk show for one of the favorite bridal lines among stylists and Bitsy Brides: Tara Keely.  Part of the JLM design house and designed by Lazaro Perez, Tara Keely is for the sophisticated and timeless bride who is not afraid to make a statement.

The new season is To. Die. For.  The girls here were literally drooling over the newest designs. The official pictures are not out yet but I just couldn’t wait to give you a taste so…. without further ado…. here are five things to expect from the new season of Tara Keely.

1- Sleeves

Sleeves were a rare luxury among bridal designers over the past several years but they have been making a comeback in the most recent seasons. In my opinion, the JLM design house (which includes Tara Keely) does sleeves better than most. You will find dainty cap sleeves and long, lace, masterpiece sleeves in the newest collection.

2 – Sparkle

If you thought it was impossible to have a sparkled dress without looking like a chandelier or like a 4 year old playing dress up then you have never tried on a gown designed by Lazaro Perez. With cascading waves of sparkle and perfectly placed belts or jewels, each dress with the addition of shine is made with the utmost regard for taste and sophistication.

3 – A-Line Perfection

There is a reason it is the most requested silhouette. ALine gowns flatter nearly every body type. They are feminine and elegant without being hard to manage or overdone. A Line is classic and gives you a lot of wiggle room to show your personality with the gown design, which is exactly what happens with a Tara Keely gown. With a design channeling Princess Diana hanging next to a bohemian beauty, there is a gown for everyone in this collection.

4 – Lush Materials

Tara Keely always has amazing fabrics and finishes but this season is particularly spectacular. I am in love with the use of Silk Shantung I am finding.  Shantung is an amazing material with just enough luster and the perfect amount of drape to easily be worn in a formal or whimsical affair.

5 – Bohemian Charm

I am particularly critical of boho-style dresses. Just not my favorite. I will however have to admit that I am drooling over Tara Keely’s bohemian additions to this season.

Get ready ladies, this season is going to be AMAZING!

Until next time,

Becca
