Meet our Bitsy Bride, Maiya.

This beautiful bride wore “Pepper” from Blush by Hayley Paige. Blush expresses the same designs that Hayley Paige is known for, but at a more cost effective price point. Pepper fits the mold of being edgy, but with classic bridal vibes.

Pepper features a bodice made from Hayley Paige’s gorgeous Marrakesh beading fabric. The sweetheart neckline and low back have a scalloped detail that gives a feminine look. The straps are a delicate spaghetti strap that run into the low V-shaped back. The ivory Marrakesh beading stops at the natural waist and then is followed by a full tulle skirt. This tulle is cut into cascading layers and edged with horsehair trim.

Maiya decided to keep Pepper in its original form. However, the sample gown she purchased was several sizes too big for her. She worked with our in-house alterations team to resize this gown and have it fit her perfectly. During this process, we needed to take in the bodice by several inches. This task required our seamstress to bring it in and rematch the beading patterns. This gave the gown a finished look, and masked the fact that this gown was once too large. Once the bodice fit her correctly, we were able to focus on hemming the gown to her height. Maiya opted to not add anymore details to her gown.
